June 3, 2025: Omnivore Recordings, in association with The Jeffrey Foskett Estate, is very proud to announce the release of Something There – Remembering Jeffrey Foskett, to be released on July 11. They’ve also shared the album track “Mary Honey” which features Brian Wilson.

A loving tribute to the voice of an angel, this 25 song collection contains several key Foskett recordings (“I Live For The Sun,” “Everybody,” “Something There”), rare alliances with Robert Lamm of Chicago and Christopher Cross, and previously unissued collaborations with Brian Wilson, Mike Love, America, and Los Straitjackets. The album also includes “Splash City (A Capella),” a special recording produced for an episode of Full House, which Foskett appeared in, featuring John Stamos with all backing vocals performed by Foskett (watch the clip HERE, Foskett is second from the right). More than half of the recordings are previously unissued.   Born and bred in the Golden State of California, Jeffrey Foskett and his angelic voice were destined to be part of the California Sound forever. An early acolyte of The Beach Boys and the music of Brian Wilson, Foskett was serendipitously “discovered” by Beach Boys lead singer, Mike Love, in a bar in Santa Barbara in the early 1980s. Foskett would later describe this “chance meeting” as “opportunity knocking” and he seized it with every ounce of talent he possessed.   Soon after meeting Love, Foskett joined The Beach Boys on the road. Very quickly, his soaring falsetto and incredible musical talent earned him the title of “Vice-Principal” as he assisted Hawthorne’s favorite sons with their late ’80s resurgence (Live Aid, “Kokomo”). This experience led him to many further opportunities and ultimately led him to lead Brian Wilson’s touring band in the 1990s.   Along the way, Foskett himself was creating original music and unique collaborations which led to several solo projects, all critically acclaimed. Tell me more: Listening to the wonderful recordings that fill Omnivore Recordings' The Complete Capitol Albums by American country duo The Hagers, it defies belief that the team failed to ever score a top hit on the Billboard charts. Jim and John Hager recorded three albums for Capitol Records: The Hagers and Two Hagers Are Better Than One in 1970, and Motherhood, Apple Pie & The Flag in 1971. Additionally, the identical twins appeared 135 times on "Hee Haw" between 1969 and 1985. With the appreciation and explosion of Americana and roots music over the past decade, it's not a stretch to see there may very well be a new appreciation of The Hagers in 2022. The vocal talents of the twins shine across the 30-track collection. The lovely "Loneliness Without You," lively "I'm Her Fun," affecting take on Buck Owens' "Tender Loving Care," soaring "Give It Time," elegant "Flowers Need Sun Too" and nuanced cover of Merle Haggard's "Silver Wings" are early highlights. Tell me more: Previously published in 2009 under the title Reasons to Be Cheerful, the just published  The Wild World of Barney Bubbles is an expanded and immersive celebration of the visual work of pioneering graphic artist Barney Bubbles. The 240-page book penned by journalist-author Paul Gorman is bolstered by contributions from Peter Saville, Clarita Hinojosa, Billy Bragg and Art Chantry. The book features hundreds of seldom seen photographs, working sketches, notebook images and original artwork. Readers who journey through the book will appreciate how fully Bubbles — born Colin Maximilian Fulcer in 1942 — was able to use arresting graphic design as a bridge between fine art and music. Among the diverse field of music makers to feature Bubbles' work were Hawkwind, Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, the Psychedelic Furs, Carlene Carter and many more. Perhaps the biggest takeaway from spending time inside the pages of The Wild World of Barney Bubbles is how Bubbles' work wonderfully avoided a single style while soaring no matter the discipline. Brian Wilson strips down Beach Boys classics via 'At My Piano' - hear his version of "God Only Knows" now

Brian Wilson and Decca Records have announced the release of At My Piano, a full-length album where Wilson revisits Beach Boys classics via instrumental piano arrangements. Hear the lovely version of "God Only Knows" HERE.

Versions of enduring classics including "In My Room," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "California Girls," "Don't Worry Baby," "Good Vibrations" and many more are set to be included on the collection.

In a press release, Wilson says: "We had an upright piano in our living room and from the time I was 12 years old I played it each and every day. I never had a lesson, I was completely self-taught. I play it when I’m happy or feeling sad. I love playing for people and I love playing alone when no one is listening. Honestly, the piano and the music I create on it has probably saved my life.”

Los Angeles – August 2, 2021 – The Beach Boys forthcoming new box set, Feel Flows – The Sunflower and Surf’s Up Sessions 1969-1971, due August 27 via Capitol/UMe, boasts 135 tracks, including 108 previously unreleased tracks, live recordings, radio promos, alternate versions, alternate mixes, isolated backing tracks and a cappella versions, culled from the album sessions. 
Ahead of the release, The Beach Boys have shared two more unreleased tracks: a stunning a cappella version of “Surf’s Up,” the eponymous closing track of their 1971 album, initially written by Brian Wilson and Van Dyke Parks for the famously aborted Smile album, and a reimagined mix of “This Whole World,” one of the many standouts from 1970’s Sunflower. This exquisite iteration of “Surf’s Up” allows listeners to hear the band’s unadulterated vocals and impeccable harmonies in their purest form. Brian’s lead vocal for the second section of the song was recorded in December 1966 during the Smile sessions while the other vocal parts were added in 1971. The version of “This Whole World” was newly created for Feel Flows and features an alternate lead vocal take from Carl Wilson, a lead vocal part from Brian Wilson on the bridge that wasn’t used on the original, and an alternate ending originally recorded for an Eastern Airlines commercial that the group appeared in briefly. Part of Eastern’s popular “Wings of Man” advertising campaign, the ad focused on Southern California and featured the song under narration from Orson Welles. This coda has never been heard anywhere since the commercial aired in 1971. These latest releases follow the live version of fan favorite “Susie Cincinnati” and an early, folky incarnation of “Big Sur.”
