August 30 – (Los Angeles, CA) – The Head And The Heart have released the video for “Don’t Show Your Weakness,” a track off of their latest album Every Shade of Blue that came out this past spring via Warner Records/Reprise Records. Watch it below.

The video was directed by Jacqueline Justice and creative directed by Charity Rose Thielen. Charity noted “The initial inspiration for the video came after Matty showed me a two plus minute video of his recent endoscopy examining his vocal cords. Jacquline and Drew helped further develop this concept using both surreal and real references to the exam footage, weaving animation with real life.”

The band went on to say that “Don't Show Your Weakness explores fragility and strength and revels in the often blurry territory in which these two seemingly opposing traits intersect. This colorful and mysterious video is a celebration of the liberation that comes when we allow the most vulnerable parts of ourselves to be laid bare for all to see.”

The Head And The Heart recently released acoustic versions of “Virginia (Wind In The Night)” and the title track of their latest studio album “Every Shade of Blue.” Since the album's late April 2022 release, it has generated 25 million streams globally. Listen to the acoustic versions here.

The Head And The Heart will resume their Every Shade of Blue 2022 North American Tour on September 10th. Special guests joining the band in select cities include Shakey Graves and Hiss Golden Messenger. Tickets for all shows are now on sale.

Every Shade of Blue was produced by GRAMMY-award winning songwriter, producer and engineer Jesse Shatkin (Sia, Pink, The Shins, Tegan and Sara) except for album tracks “Shadows”, “Don’t Show Your Weakness” and “Love We Make” which were produced by Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Wet), and “Paradigm”, produced by John Hill and Sammy Witte (Florence + The Machine, Portugal The Man, Cage The Elephant), and mastered by Emily Lazar and Chris Allgood at The Lodge, NY.
