Superfly and A.C. Entertainment are excited to confirm that U2 will appear at Bonnaroo this year. It will be the legendary band's exclusive first-ever headline appearance at an American festival. They will  be performing a set that will include the career-defining 1987 release The Joshua Tree in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the classic album.

Bonnaroo will announce the full 2017 lineup and

put all tickets on sale this Wednesday, January 11 at 8 a.m. ET.

The 2017 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will take place June 8 - 11.

Since the 2017 NAMM Show is only a few weeks away, not surprising that music industry news is starting to emerge.

Dual Mode Operation - AMP/DEVICE

Drive a cab

NAMM 2017: Antelope Audio to open the realm of recording possibilities, with interface launch, performances and engaging booth discussions

Title: Holding On: A Heal My Soul Companion (Provogue)

Tell me more: When Jeff Healey passed away after a battle with cancer in March 2008, the 41-year-old Canadian artist left a lasting legacy as an outstanding singer-songwriter and guitar virtuoso. Now, previously-unreleased recordings from Healey are showcased on Holding On: A Heal My Soul Companion. The release features five rare Healey studio tracks that were recorded during the same time period (1996-1998) as the recordings that were featured on his acclaimed Heal My Soul album (released on what would have been Healey's 50th birthday) as well as a concert recorded in Oslo, Norway in 1999. "Love Takes Time" is a flat-out blues rocker that explodes with heartfelt vocals and fiery guitar work; "Every Other Guy" is a more confessional song, with a melodic chorus and nuanced lead fills. Healey's guitar prowess is showcased across the disc (particularly on the studio version of  "Dancing With the Monsters") and throughout the exhilarating concert recording. Information: JeffHealey.com.

Tell me more: As the voice of '90s alt-music pioneers Mazzy Star, Hope Sandoval championed a dream pop sound blending neo-psychedelia, blues, alt-folk and Americana. The Los Angeles native went on to form the Warm Inventions in 2000 and that troupe released several albums including 2009's Through the Devil Softly, and returned from a five-year hiatus late in 2016 with a fantastic new album titled Until the Hunter released on the group's own independent record label Tendril Tales. Sandoval's overall style continues to mine the quieter and more introspective reaches of alternative folk rock. The new 11-track album features a tuneful duet "Let Me Get There" featuring Kurt Vile, the rootsy "The Peasant," the baroque folk of "The Hiking Song" and relatively buoyant "Isn't It True." Tell me more: Katie Kim is the the pseudonym of Irish singer Katie Sullivan, whose third album Salt provides a thrilling and intense listen across its 9-track span. Kim uses her rich soprano in the service of ambient material that evokes haunted sonic spaces. Kim's voice is lush and lovely on the shimmering "Day is Coming," while low notes on a piano enthrall on "Body Break." CARLSBAD, Calif. – January 3, 2017 – The 2017 NAMM Show is just around the corner, and with it, top musical acts are scheduled to rock The NAMM Nissan Grand Plaza stage. This year will bring a variety of performances from across the sonic spectrum, with each evening offering performances from rock legends, a pro-athlete and accomplished jazz musician, and an R&B legend, all in the spirit of musical diversity that can be found at The NAMM Show. 

Kicking off the show on Thursday night, January 19 is rock duo RSO: Richie Sambora and Orianthi. Each a respected guitarist in their own right, Sambora and Orianthi will bring their deft fret work and monster screams to the show, marking the duo’s first NAMM performance together. Grammy award-winner Sambora, also known for his passion for philanthropy, will offer up his world-renowned Songwriters Hall of Fame talent, addictive hooks and poetic lyrics. Platinum-selling guitarist Orianthi has enjoyed a career as a touring artist for the likes of Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper and many others, and was named by Elle magazine as one of the top “12 Greatest Female Electric Guitarists.” The pair have spent the past year touring the globe and will perform at The NAMM Show directly following a tour of the UK, Asia and Orianthi’s native Australia. 

On Friday evening, January 20, former center fielder for the New York Yankees, music education advocate and accomplished jazz musician Bernie Williams and his All-Star Band will take the stage to perform in The NAMM Foundation’s Celebration for Music Education. Williams, who enjoyed a 16-year career in Major League Baseball, is a classically-trained guitarist, Latin Grammy®-nominated (2009’s Moving Forward) musician and designated Turnaround Arts artist from the President’s Committee on Arts and Humanities. Ronnie and John Lennon first met in London during the Ronettes’ first U.K. tour in January of 1964, and in 1966, the group was personally chosen by The Beatles to open their final tour. From their first meeting forward, Lennon and Ronnie shared a close friendship with Lennon playing and singing on Ronnie's first solo recordings in 1971. The night will celebrate the Lennon Bus’ 20^th Anniversary, the connection we share through music, and inspire those in attendance to continue to build a more musical world.
