August 20, 2015, New York, N.Y. -- BackStory, a series of curated live, feature-length interviews with iconic artists and musicians, announces Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent of The Zombies as upcoming guests for an exclusive live interview. Focusing on the band’s upcoming “Odessey & Oracle” tour in support of its 1968 masterpiece, as well as a new album titled Still Got That Hunger, the interview will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at the AOL studios in New York CityTickets are now available for purchase.

Aptly titled Still Got That Hunger, the new album, produced by Chris Potter, whose extensive résumé includes work with The Verve, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, U2, and Blur, is scheduled for digital and physical release October 9 via The End Records/ADA.

The past three years have marked a major resurgence for the band, with two U.K. and five U.S. tours including stops at SXSW in Austin, NYC’s Central Park SummerStage, an appearance on Austin City Limits, the American release of Breathe Out, Breathe In (the group’s fifth studio album released in 2011) and the announcement of their first nomination to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015, The Zombies make another mark in the U.S. history books with the first time live performance of their 1968 masterpieceOdessey & Oracle.

For the first time ever, the group will bring Odessey & Oracle to American stages. All four surviving original members will recreate the seminal album in its entirety with full instrumentation. Founding and current members, vocalist Colin Blunstone and keyboardist Rod Argent, will be joined by original bassist/co-songwriter Chris White and drummer Hugh Grundy for their first American tour together in five decades. The show will also feature the acclaimed current Zombies’ line-up featuring bassist Jim Rodford (formerly of ARGENT and The Kinks), Rodford’s son Steve Rodford on drums, and renowned session guitarist Tom Toomey, performing material from their forthcoming studio album. Hosted by music journalist Brad Tolinski, the BackStory event on Oct. 7 will allow guests to enjoy a seat at an exclusive, career-spanning live interview, a meet-and-greet with Blunstone and Argent, an autographed copy of Still Got That Hunger, plus complimentary beverages.

BackStory kicked off in mid-June with guitar and production mastermind Nile Rodgers, who discussed his two-day, all-star event, FreakOut! Let’s Dance Festival, and continued with guitar icon Joe Satriani in July, who talked about his latest release, Shockwave Supernova. Upcoming events include launches with Metal Allegiance, Timbaland and more.

The BackStory live interview series is produced by Tolinski and music industry pioneer Laura B. Whitmore. Best known as the editor-in-chief of Guitar World Magazine for 25 years, Tolinski is a respected journalist and the author of Light and Shade: Conversations with Jimmy Page. Throughout his career, Tolinski has skillfully interviewed hundreds of musicians and plays guitar, violin and mandolin himself. Whitmore is a respected music industry marketer, the founder of the Women’s International Music Network, a journalist and editor and a singer/songwriter.
