Of Monsters and Men to release new album 'Beneath the Skin' on June 9, 2015
World premiere of first single "Crystals" with IHeart Radio
OF MONSTERS AND MEN have announced June 9, 2015 as the release date for their long awaited second full-length album, Beneath The Skin[Republic Records]. The critically acclaimed multiplatinum Icelandic quintet also debuted the first single “Crystals” today with a special iHeartRadio world premiere. The songs official lyric video was also released on VEVO. You can view it HERE. The band returns with another powerfully beautiful anthem, expanding the signature sound countless fans fell in love with.
With the announcement, the digital pre-order is now live at participating digital retailers and it includes an immediate download of “Crystals” with purchase. Beyond the single "Crystals,"the standard edition of Beneath The Skin includes eleven tracks, while the deluxe edition features the bonus tracks "Backyard" and "Winter Sound." In addition, it boasts a remix of"Black Water" by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and a remix of "I Of The Storm" by Jonsi (Sigur Ros) collaborator, Alex Somers. Pre-order the deluxe version HERE.

The group spent the past year working on Beneath The Skin with co-producer Rich Costey[Muse, Death Cab for Cutie, Foster The People, Interpol] between studios in Iceland and Los Angeles. They began teasing the first single, “Crystals” last week with a special trailer unveiling the single’s title and release date.
Leading up to the release, OF MONSTERS AND MEN will embark on their world tour beginning May 4 at Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario. They play North American major markets before heading overseas for the tour’s European leg.

OF MONSTERS AND MEN have come a long way from their native Iceland. They quickly became a phenomenon in 2011 with the quadruple-platinum “Little Talks” and their chart-topping debut, My Head Is An Animal, which has since moved 2 million copies worldwide. Since then, the group have delivered rapturous performances at festivals such as Lollapalooza,Bonnaroo, Coachella, Newport Folk Festival, Osheaga, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds,Pukkelpop, and Splendour in the Grass as well as at countless sold out headline shows the world over.
