Don't overthink it, boy/ White arrows will break The black night / Don't overthink it, boy

The Killers have released their first new music following the release last year of their acclaimed seventh album Pressure Machine. “boy” is out today via Island Records. Written by frontman Brandon Flowers, the song sees the band return to their anthemic stadium-filling sound. The band debuted the track at last month’s Mad Cool Festival in Madrid. The song was written before Pressure Machine and, says Flowers, the themes explored in the lyrics actually led him on the path to writing and recording that album.   Flowers elaborates, “This was the first song written after we had to cancel the Imploding The Mirage tour due to the pandemic. I had recently moved back to Utah and started to make trips to Nephi, where I grew up. I found that the place I had wanted to get away from so desperately at 16 was now a place that I couldn’t stop returning to. I have a son approaching the age I was at that time in my life. With “boy”, I want to reach out and tell myself - and my sons - to not overthink it. And to look for the “white arrows” in their lives. For me now, white arrows are my wife, children, my songs and the stage.” Watch & listen to the lyric video for "Boy" HERE.   Produced by The Killers, Stuart Price and Shawn Everett, the track’s release comes ahead of the band’s North American stadium and arena tour - the biggest of their career to date - which kicks off in Vancouver at Rogers Arena on August 19, 2022. Pet Shop Boys' New Album "Electric" Now Streaming In Full Via Pandora

I've been listening to the forthcoming Pet Shop Boys album for the past few days and it's fantastic. You can too! Here is the release on the album and a link to listen via Pandora...

PET SHOP BOYS' NEW ALBUM ELECTRIC NOW STREAMING IN FULL VIA PANDORA  ALBUM TO BE RELEASED THROUGH x2 ON JULY 15

Electric, the new studio album from Pet Shop Boys, is now available to stream in it's entirety via Pandora HERE. Electric is the duo's first album to appear on their own label x2 (via Kobalt Label Services) and the first to be produced by Stuart Price.    CLICK HERE TO STREAM 'ELECTRIC' Electric features nine tracks in total - eight brand new Pet Shop Boys' songs plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen's 'The Last To Die'.  The result is as uncompromising a collection of dance anthems as Pet Shop Boys have ever made. Pet Shop Boys said: "Electric is very much set on the dance floor.  Our latest album often evolves as a response to our previous album and, whereas Elysium had a reflective mood, Electric is pretty banging! And working with Stuart Price on a studio album is something we have wanted to do for a very long time". Stuart Price said: "Making Electric was an exciting experience. We recorded it between Berlin, London and Los Angeles using various techniques between old school synth and drum machine programming and new school computer mangling. For me it was a chance to work with two people who shaped so much of my musical taste, yet who keep on pushing farther in both a natural and unexpected fashion. 'Disco' (from 1986) was an album that always spoke to me because it blended song arrangements with dance floor mixes, and that is what Electric felt like to make. Allowing songs to be full length without considering the pop rules, disregarding classic structures and instead just working instinctively on what was fun and danceable." The track listing for Electric is: 1. Axis 2. Bolshy 3. Love is a bourgeois construct 4. Fluorescent 5. Inside a dream 6. The last to die 7. Shouting in the evening 8. Thursday (featuring Example) 9. Vocal Pet Shop Boys embarked on the Electric tour in May of this year. The tour is created in collaboration with Es Devlin (creative director/designer) and Lynne Page (stage director/choreographer).
