Gram Parsons' legacy to be celebrated at the Hotel Cafe on Saturday, Sept. 16

Although Gram Parsons was relatively unknown when he passed away at the age of 26 on Sept. 19, 1973, he had been at the forefront of the fusion of country music and rock and roll via his recordings as a solo artist as well as with the International Submarine Band, The Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers. Parsons' enduring and highly influential "Cosmic American Music" will be front and center on Saturday night (Sept. 16, 2023) as part of Gram International presented at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles.

Dubbed "50 Years Gone" in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Parsons' tragic death in 1973, the event will feature a slew of top-tier Americana artists performing beginning at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

The event will feature:

Paul Givant (Of Roses Pawn Shop)
Michael Ubaldini & His Band
David Serby Band
The Far West
Heather Lomax
Emily Zuzik
Coyote Moon
Steve Key
Author Pamela Des Barres (special guest)

"I'm excited about the Gram Parsons event – it’s the first real big concert event I've put on," said Ubaldini, who is coordinating the West Coast event. "I've partnered up with Will James who started it 16 years ago to try to get Gram into the Country Music Hall Of Fame."

Hotel Cafe is located at 1623 N. Cahuenga Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. Tickets to attend the event are $15. Get more information about the concert event HERE.
