International Pop Overthrow coming to Los Angeles, July 28 - August 6, 2017

It's that time of year when a slew of talented power pop artists descend on noted venues throughout Los Angeles to showcase their original melodic rock. Known as International Pop Overthrow (IPO), the event brings together great artists that celebrate an enduring scene where artful songcraft, catchy choruses and shining vocal harmonies rule the day.

Things kick off at Friday night, July 28 when a full night of live music at Fais Do Do in Los Angeles, with other night and/or afternoon showcases returning to that venue as well as being staged at Molly Malone's, Skinny's Lounge, and the Silverlake Lounge.
Many great artists I've seen and/or reviewed before including the RAZ Band, The Jeremy Band, Plasticsoul, Popdudes, Sparkle*jets UK, and the Galaxies are set to perform sets this year. Click here to read my review of a particularly-great IPO bill I caught in Orange County in August 2012. The previous year, I caught another memorable date of the annual fest; read my review of that event here.

Visit the official IPO website here for a full schedule of this summer's IPO concerts!
