White Lies announce upcoming shows, including dates at Coachella

With Coachella 2014 details now out, I'll begin featuring specific news and updates on acts slated to perform at the festival. With not everyone able to attend Coachellafest, the good news is that White Lies is touring and can be seen elsewhere throughout North America beginning early next month. White Lies announce Coachella performances; band's U.S. tour kicks off on February 6th

London’s White Lies closed out 2013 with a bang; their single, “There Goes Our Love Again,”  off recently released BIG TV (Harvest Records) was named one of BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Records of the Year and the album art for BIG TV, created by New York artist Michael Kagan, was named one of Pitchfork’s Best Album Covers of the year and took the annual prize of Best Art Vinyl by UK’s Art Vinyl. PRESS HERE to watch the video for “First Time Caller” off BIG TV.

Additionally, the band is excited to announce performances at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, April 12^th and Saturday, April 19^th. The band will hitting the road in February with a slew of dates with opener Frankie Rose – see below for routing!

White Lies first came onto the scene in 2009 with their debut album To Lose My Life. The album instantly went to No. 1 in the UK and sold one million copies worldwide. Their sophomore collection Ritual followed in January 2011, giving the band a Top 20 album in over 15 countries around the world and quickly became a critical success. BIG TV,released in August 2013, reached #2 on the UK Album Chart and debuted as BBC Radio 1 Album of the Week on Zane Lowe’s show. The band has sold out shows including London’s Wembley Arena, toured with Coldplay, Muse & Kings of Leon and performed on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as festivals across the world including Lollapalooza, V Festival, Coachella, and Glastonbury.
