Sights and Sounds: Tears For Fears, Old 97's, new episode of 'Music Worth Buying' posted

As I prep to cover night 1 of the Wavelength Festival (featuring Bonnie Raitt and Keb' Mo') that arrives in Orange County, California tomorrow night, here are a few music headlines definitely worth sharing...

I absolutely love Tears For Fears' new electronica-styled take on Arcade Fire's "Ready to Start." You can hear the track and learn more here. This is one music writer (and music fan) who can't wait to hear the next album from TFF's Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. The duo's 2004 comeback album Everybody Loves a Happy Ending was truly one of the best albums of the '00s. Read my Orange County Register concert review of TFF when they performed in Costa Mesa in July 2007.

Finally, make sure to check out our latest episode of Music Worth Buying, where we celebrate the latest albums from Michael and the Lonesome Playboys (Bottle Cap Sky) and the self-titled sophomore effort from The Civil Wars.
