Inbox update: Def Leppard, Kiss, The Offspring, Neil Young, Taking Back Sunday

Here is a short but timely roundup of today's news...

Def Leppard and Kiss are heading out on tour together, while NIN and Soundgarden are heading out on the road too. And Orange County's own The Offspring finally headlines the Pacific Amphitheatre at The Orange County Fair this summer. Read Ben Wener's post on The Orange County Register site here. USA Today also has an extensive story about the forthcoming Def Leppard-Kiss outing and you can check that out here.

Speaking of Kiss, it appears that there has been no solution in the tug-of-war between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Kiss regarding any chance of Kiss appearing at the upcoming induction ceremony next month. Read this story in Billboard for more details.

According to an interview in Spin, Neil Young is writing a science fiction book. Click here to read the interview.

Taking Back Sunday is releasing its new album Happiness Is today via Hopeless Records. The group is also on tour, and has a trio of California dates set for later this month. Visit the band's official site for all the details.
