(Columbia Records; New York, NY; March 17, 2017) – Iconic, multi-platinum selling musical pioneers Depeche Mode have released their 14th studio album, Spirit, globally today via Columbia Records. The album, available both digitally and physically, has delighted fans and critics alike, with USA Today proclaiming, “Depeche Mode is back with its timeliest work yet” and Entertainment Weekly naming Spiritan official music pick.   
 
Spirit is available as a standard 12 track album. The band has also released a 2-CD Deluxe version of the album featuring a 28-page booklet of exclusive artwork and photos, along with 5 remixes created by Depeche Mode, Matrixxman and Kurt Uenala, collectively entitled the ‘Jungle Spirit Mixes’.  The vinyl version of Spirit will be released on two 180 gram LPs, featuring the standard album and a special Spiritetching on the 4th side. Depeche Mode celebrates release day with an exclusive, intimate live show for Telekom Street Gigs in the legendary Funkhaus Berlin. Fans across the globe can be part of the event via HD live stream; the entire launch event will be live streamed on Depeche Mode’s Facebook and Twitter, as well as on Telekom Street Gigs’ website, and will be available in both 360-degree and 4K.

Spirit marks the band’s first collaboration with producer James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco (Foals, Florence & The Machine, Arctic Monkeys) and serves as the follow up to the band’s blockbuster 2013 album Delta Machine which debuted at #1 in 12 countries. Depeche Mode will support the release of the LP with an extensive world tourgiving both new and lifelong fans alike a chance to experience the band’s stunning live shows. The first leg of the Global Spirit Tour, on sale now, will see the band play to over 1.5 million fans at 34 shows in 21 countries throughout Europe. The tour kicks off May 5th in Stockholm, Sweden and will stop at stadiums across Europe. Following the extensive European summer tour, the 29 show North American run, exclusively promoted by Live Nation, will kick off on August 23rd in Salt Lake City, UT and will stop in 26 cities across the United States and Canada, before wrapping up in Edmonton, Alberta on October 27th.
