Good job reviewing the new Boston record, gentlemen. I , too, am a musician. (Been playing trumpet for well over 50 years now). And I was in college when Boston first broke. I respect your insight about giving the record more time to age and take a place in your minds and hearts. Good music is like that sometimes. I was told by Stan Kenton himself once in a workshop setting when I was a kid that "you have to listen to a piece of music 10 times at least to "get it" and / or understand and enjoy it. Might be the case here too. The genius of Tom S. sure shines through on the cuts I've heard so far in youtube. I think no matter what the outcome, this could be a classic because they've only had 6 albums in 37 years! Long live Boston!
