Måneskin release "GOSSIP" featuring Tom Morello

Check out the new single from Italian rockers Måneskin and get details on the band's forthcoming album RUSH!...Robert Kinsler

“BEST NEW ARTIST” GRAMMY Nominee

RELEASE NEW SINGLE “GOSSIP”

FEATURING TOM MORELLO

“Sip / The gossip / Drink till you choke - Sip / The gossip / Burn down your throat

You’re not iconic / You are just like them all / Don't act like you don’t know”

When I heard that there was a rock and roll band from Italy that was blowing up around the world, I was like “Really? Come on”. Then when I saw them play live I was blown away. They are unapologetically loud, unapologetically sexy, and unapologetically ROCKING and deserve to be one of the standard bearers for rock and roll for a younger generation. I got to jam with them at their studio in Hollywood, it’s a great band, they all play great, they write great songs, they connect with their audience in a deep and meaningful way, and if you’ve seen them play live the crowd goes OFF!” It looks a lot like some of the big bands of the ‘90s with the crowds bouncing, so you know they are doing something right.”- TOM MORELLO

“GOSSIP” Is The Latest Advance Single From

MÅNESKIN’S Highly Anticipated New Album “RUSH!”

-Which Arrives Next Week on January 20, 2023

MÅNESKIN wink their way to glory on [RUSH!]... Remember when rock stars were flamboyant, excessive & larger-than-life? Måneskin want to jog everyone’s recall… With their growing stardom, runway-glam fashion sense, and a guitarist who actually plays solos… Måneskin feel like the only rock band making any dent in the culture … with each record, Måneskin have amped up their volume and swagger… And RUSH! is their broadest stroke yet, starting with its 17-song length (Esilio su Main St., anyone?) …‘Gossip,’ complete with a turntable-attack guitar cameo by Tom Morello is an undeniable earworm” - ROLLING STONE
(Lead Album Review, January 2023)

“A frenzied new single… Gossip’ is a rock’n’roll stomper featuring scuzzy guitars and a relentless backbeat.” - NME

Today, globally skyrocketing rock band Måneskin have released their new single ‘Gossip’ featuring the Tom Morello (of Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and more) Listen HERE.

Fierce with a rapid, infectious and hammering guitar hook, Måneskin’s latest offering continues to reaffirm their status as a genuine force in rock’n’roll. The single is taken from their upcoming album RUSH! Set for release next week on January 20. The album is available to pre-order/save HERE.

Discussing working with Tom Morello on the forthcoming new single, the band say:

Tom Morello’s enormous experience allowed us to take cues on how to work on tracks without overthinking. We can’t thank him enough for joining us on this track. It’s an honour for the whole band!” - Damiano

He brought some Rage to Måneskin!” – Ethan

“Tom is one of the greatest musicians that I've always listened to and learned from. Playing with him is a dream come true. It’s an enormous gift and a personal highlight of this incredible year” – Thomas

“The song originated from a riff which Thomas had written some time ago and which we had been holding onto for a long time which we kept developing. Then the icon Tom Morello joined and brought something extra to the classic uptempo Måneskin cheerfulness.” - Vic

In More News, Måneskin Just Received 2023 iHeartRadio Music Award Nominations For Best Duo/Group of the Year & Alternative Artist of the Year!

Album reviews: Dave Gahan & Soulsavers, Rage Against the Machine, 'Goosebumps' soundtrack, Billy J. Kramer with The Dakotas

Dave Gahan & Soulsavers' new album was released Oct. 23, 2015. / Photo courtesy of the artist

Artist: Dave Gahan & Soulsavers
Title: Angels & Ghosts (Columbia)
You might like if you enjoy: Depeche Mode, Dave Gahan
Tell me more: Although the Depeche Mode faithful have long recognized Dave Gahan as a singer of considerable force and artistic range, his name is often sadly overlooked by the rock world at large. Maybe the English singer's latest project Dave Gahan & Soulsavers, a collaboration that is a particularly effective showcase for his vocal powers, will bring more attention to one of modern rock's greatest frontmen. Rather than immerse his rich baritone amidst the electronica of Depeche Mode, Gahan & Soulsavers' Angels & Ghosts is more rooted in blues, gospel and Americana, with the the spirited mix of nine songs recalling recent recordings from the far-flung likes of Other Lives, Florence + the Machine, the Doors and Blur's recent gem The Magic Whip. The blues guitar-drenched "Shine"  and ambitious "You Owe Me" are as melodic as they are forceful. "One Thing" is a beautiful ballad adorned by keyboards and a symphonic soundscape; "My Sun" is a sparse foray in its opening section with the song gradually building to a sweeping symphonic finale. Artist: Rage Against The Machine
DVD Title: Live at Finsbury Park (Eagle Rock Entertainment)
You might like if you enjoy: Rage Against the Machine, Tom Morello
Tell me more: Few bands have fused left-leaning politics and passion with as much firepower as Rage Against The Machine. Ironically, it was a creative effort by English DJ Jon Morter and his wife Tracy in early December 2009 to promote an alternative to the seemingly inevitable  "X-Factor" winner scoring the #1 Christmas hit on the UK singles chart that led to the ultimate release of Rage Against The Machine's "Live at Finsbury Park" (available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital video). Rage Against The Machine supported a campaign to have "Killing In The Name" promoted by the influential Morter with agreement that proceeds from the sales of the single would go to charity if the single reached number one by Christmas 2009. Further thrilling fans was when the band performed a free concert in England to celebrate reaching number 1; that concert (staged on June 6, 2010) is as powerful as fans would expect. Hard-hitting rockers such as "Bulls On Parade," "Sleep Now In The Fire" and the dramatic set-ending "Killing In The Name" are delivered with the band's groundbreaking rap-metal style. Information: eagle-rock.com.

Artist: Danny Elfman
Title: Goosebumps (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (Sony Masterworks)
You might like if you enjoy: Soundtracks scored by Danny Elfman
Tell me more: Coming 30 years after his first film score (the delightful music for "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" released in 1985), Danny Elfman's stellar soundtrack for the newly-released movie Goosebumps is yet another achievement for the former frontman for Oingo Boingo. A beautiful and expansive 29-track soundtrack that works even apart from the film, highlights include the lovely "Ferris Wheel," urgent "Ice Rink" and tender "Camcorder." Having scored 30 or so soundtracks and being the recipient of four Academy Award nominations, wouldn't it be nice if the talented GRAMMY and Emmy Award winner received an Oscar - perhaps for this deserving soundtrack. Information: SonyMusicMasterworks.com.

Purchase 'Goosebumps (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)' here

Artist: Billy J. Kramer with The Dakotas
Title: All-Time Greatest Hits (Varese Sarabande)
You might like if you enjoy: The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers
Tell me more: Even Beatles fans who possess every studio Beatles album ever released don't necessarily have every John Lennon, Paul McCartney composition. For evidence, look (and listen) no further than the new Billy J. Kramer with The Dakotas retrospective All-Time Greatest Hits (Varese Sarabande Records issued the collection on Oct. 23, 2015). Managed by famed Beatles manager Brian Epstein, Kramer was the beneficiary of a number of Lennon/McCartney songs that comprised a good share of the hits he scored in the early and mid-1960s. The yearning "Bad To Me" and wistful "From A Window" are as strong as anything penned by Lennon and McCartney in the early 1960s (McCartney provided some harmonies on the latter), and the baroque pop gem "I'll Keep You Satisfied" has always struck this writer as evoking the song craft of George Harrison (even though it was penned by Lennon and McCartney). Fans of the early Beatles and Gerry and the Pacemakers will love the 14-track All-Time Greatest Hits, including a lovely take on the Burt Bacharach, Hal David standout "Trains and Boats and Planes." Sights and Sounds: Rage Against The Machine, James Bay, Dierks Bentley

Happy Monday everybody. Here is what is new in the news...

Rage Against The Machine 'Live At Finsbury Park' coming to DVD, Blu-ray and digital formats October 16

This fall, Eagle Rock Entertainment will drop the simultaneous release of Rage Against The Machine Live At Finsbury Park on DVD, Blu-ray and digital formats on October 16, 2015 [MSRP $14.98 DVD, $19.98 Blu-ray].

Filmed in high definition at London’s Finsbury Park on June 6, 2010, this concert, which includes “Killing In The Name,” “Bulls On Parade,” “People Of The Sun,” “Guerrilla Radio,” “Bullet In The Head,” “Bombtrack,” “Sleep Now In The Fire,” and a cover of The Clash’s “White Riot”, comes with an interesting back story…

In late 2009, a successful campaign was launched by English DJ Jon Morter and his wife Tracy to promote an alternative to the omnipresent X-Factor winner being the Christmas #1 hit in the UK singles chart. The track they nominated was Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing In The Name.” The band supported the campaign, donated the proceeds from the sales to charity and lead singer Zack de la Rocha promised that Rage Against The Machine would perform a free concert in the UK to celebrate the achievement. This is that concert.

As bonus features, Live At Finsbury Park includes the “Behind The Scenes At Finsbury Park” feature and an interview with Jon & Tracy Morter.

Sonically blending elements of heavy metal, punk and hip-hop with social consciousness, Rage Against The Machine earned acclaim as the thinking man’s rock band. With de la Rocha’s vicious lyrical delivery and guitarist Tom Morello’s guitar innovations (at times “scratching” riffs akin to a DJ) backed by heavy bombastic rhythms, Rage delivered scathing commentary about corporate America, government oppression, and other problems of the world at large, amassing a rabid fan following in the process.

Sights and Sounds: The Babys, Randy Rhoads tribute, J. Geils Band

Happy Tuesday everybody!

Here is a roundup of what's happening...

The Babys kick off 2015 with a bang

~Hit Single “I See You There” On The Charts – New Video Out Now!~
~Exclusive Representation with Ashley Talent International~
~2015 Tour – Dates To Be Announced Soon~

With the release of their new album I’ll Have Some Of That, and their single “I See You There” hitting the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Single Sales chart at the end of 2014, The Babys aren’t slowing down any time soon...
The newly released video for “I See You There” is an intimate look at the band in a “behind-the-scenes” setting: songwriting, collaborating, performing, and generally enjoying making music together. The song, written by guitarist Joey Sykes, revitalizes the classic Babys melodic flair – that sound that made smash hits out of “Every Time I Think Of You,” “Head First,” and “Back On My Feet Again.”
Additionally, The Babys are proud to announce exclusive representation with booking agency Ashley Talent International, and a 2015 tour is in the works.
“We’re thrilled and honored to represent a band that not only possesses a rich history of hit records in the past, but has now achieved a Top 10 Billboard sales chart position in present times,” states Ashley Talent International CEO Mark Hyman.
The release of I’ll Have Some Of That marked a new era for the band. With new members Sykes and John Bisaha (lead vocalist/bassist), The Babys have retained the hooks, the melodies, the pristine songwriting, and the rich female backing vocals. It’s all there, reinstating the band’s signature sound.
The Babys are ready to carry that sound across the US and beyond when they hit the road this year, because let’s face it… “Isn’t It Time?”

A lover of classical music, Rhoads had taken initial steps into rock’n’roll as a 16 year old when he formed a band, that soon became Quiet Riot. Rhoads was vaulted to the limelight in 1979 when Ozzy Osbourne chose the relatively unknown guitarist to help shape a new future for him via his band, Blizzard of Oz. The result saw Rhoads co-script two of the most famous albums in hard rock history,Blizzard Of Oz and Diary of A Madman, and rapidly ascended the stairway of fame and recognition for his virtuoso playing and writing. Famed for the way he fused classical flavors with technically-excellent hard rock, Rhoads became one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock.

When he tragically passed away on March 19, 1982 in a plane accident, Rhoads was only 25 years old, but thankfully, the legend of his work, ethos and their continuing influence on a whole new generation of guitarists, has never dimmed.

Celebrate the life and legend of Randy Rhoads with Immortal Randy Rhoads – The Ultimate Tribute.

EAGLE ROCK ENTERTAINMENT TO RELEASE

THE J. GEILS BAND
HOUSE PARTY LIVE IN GERMANY

~FIRST TIME EVER RELEASE OF THIS CLASSIC CONCERT~

DVD+CD, DIGITAL AUDIO

~FEBRUARY 24, 2015~

On February 24, 2015, Eagle Rock Entertainment will issue the first ever release of House Party Live In Germany – the classic Rockpalast concert from The J. Geils Band – on DVD+CD and Digital Audio. [Pre-book Order Date January 30, MSRP $19.98]

The year was 1979. The J. Geils Band were touring Europe in support of the Sanctuary album and its hit single “One Last Kiss,” when they made a pit stop in Essen, Germany to perform on the famed television seriesRockpalast. Filmed on April 21 at the Grugahalle, the aptly-named House Party Live In Germany features The J. Geils Band delivering their brand of raw, raucous, R&B-soaked Rock ‘N’ Roll in a solid 14-song set. The first half of the concert focuses on material from Sanctuary, while the second half blasts through earlier breakthrough hits, like “Looking For A Love,” “Give It To Me,” and “Ain’t Nothing But A House Party.”

In the 70s, The J. Geils Band developed a reputation for their faithful devotion to down-n-dirty bar blues (while most of their contemporaries drew more heavily from British blues-rock and psychedelia). As time progressed, their sound expanded into new directions and acquired more pop influences, leading them to score massive crossover appeal and commercial success with their 1981 album Freeze Frame and its smash hit “Centerfold.” House Party Live In Germany catches the band just before that key turn in the band’s career.

Eagle Rock Entertainment is the largest producer and distributor of music programming for DVD, Blu-Ray, TV and Digital Media in the world.  Eagle works directly alongside talent to produce top quality, High Definition programs, both concerts and documentaries, including The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Who, Queen, The Doors, Jeff Beck, Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney, Ozzy Osbourne, Genesis, Alice Cooper, Eric Clapton and Aerosmith. Eagle is a Grammy Award winning company and has received over 40 multi-platinum, over 80 platinum and over 144 gold discs, worldwide.  Eagle Rock Entertainment has offices in London, New York, Paris and Hamburg.
