See below for the full list of dates or visit the band’s official website for more details.

“We’re so excited to get back to tour in North America again! For the first ten years of our career, we didn’t get to play in the US or Canada and even though, now, we have been touring there for twenty years we still feel like we’re making up for lost time. We grew up listening to so much music from the US and Canada so we feel like it’s in our blood. We can’t wait to come back again next year and discover more of the continent and have new adventures with a brand-new album” – Gary Lightbody

On September 13th, the band released their stunning new album The Forest Is The Path  featuring the new single “Everything’s Here And Nothing’s Lost.” The album landed at #1 on the U.K. Official Charts. They previously held the #1 spot with Eyes Open (2006).

The Forest is the Path is the Northern Irish band’s eighth studio album and marks their eagerly awaited return following 2018’s Wildness. It is produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele/Dave/Stormzy) and the band. Now comprising the trio of Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid, Snow Patrol offered the first tastes of their extraordinary new album with singles “The Beginning,” “This Is The Sound Of Your Voice” and “All.”

The Forest Is The Path was written by Nathan Connolly, Gary Lightbody and Johnny McDaid and features contributions from Fraser T Smith, Will Reynolds, Roy Kerr and Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA). Artwork for the album and single are paintings by the band’s  Lightbody.

The Forest is the Path is an album of contrasts. At times epically joyous, life-affirming and giant - in fact Lightbody calls the album “the biggest sounding record we have ever made” - and the first four tracks are some of the mightiest choruses they have released in their now thirty-year career. But it also holds space for moments that are pin-drop quiet and earth-shatteringly devastating.

Lyrically, it’s by far the most laid-bare and most unsparing of the band’s albums Phrases leap out and ambush you, constantly. “I’m only lost if you don’t look for me.” “I’m not going to lie to you anymore, after these lies. Then no more.” “I want to be in love without being loved in return.” “I’ve told myself a million times who you weren’t, so I can finally forget who you were.” “Love is just pain in reverse.” It’s not a record for the faint-hearted, to be sure - but it may just be a salve for the heart that hurts.

The recording sessions with Fraser T Smith were intense and cathartic. All three members describe them as utterly transformative, not least Gary, for whom they were like looking in the mirror and refusing to turn away. Listening to The Forest is the Path, you feel that his whole journey as a songwriter was fated to arrive at this point. No filter, total honesty and humility, a deep and untiring excavation of the past. Hearing his lyrics and his singing - the best and most beautiful of his career – you feel as if you’re staring into his soul.

Snow Patrol kicked off their return in the summer with a stunning performance at Rock Werchter in Belgium before playing to 30,000 fans at a sold-out Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick. After headlining a run of festivals, the band will play two intimate shows at KOKO in London and Ulster Hall in Belfast in the week of album release. Ahead of the US dates the band will do an arena tour throughout the UK and Ireland Arena in February 2025.

Snow Patrol release new single "All" + new album "The Forest is the Path" out Sept. 13

 Media Release

RELEASE NEW SINGLE “ALL”
FROM UPCOMING NEW ALBUM THE FOREST IS THE PATH
OUT SEPTEMBER 13TH

SNOW PATROL today (August 8th) release new single “All” via Republic Records. It is the third song to be shared from the Northern Irish band’s forthcoming new album The Forest Is The Path, which is set for release on September 13th and marks their eagerly awaited return after six years, following 2018’s Wildness.

Speaking about the new single, Gary Lightbody says, All was written by Fraser T Smith and myself in late November of 2022. This was almost exactly a year before we would ask Fraser to produce the album. The first time we recorded the album it didn’t work out and we would then ask Fraser to step into the producer’s chair in December of 2023 and he was a dream to work with. The first day of writing with him I walked into the studio and he had already got some music going. It was all very much “hi, how are you, what about this?” and BAM we were off. I love when that happens. Not really a fan of the small talk. I like big talk. And when you’re writing a song with someone you have to get to the big talk (or what’s the point), so why wait? My memory is that it all came together very quickly. I wrote a melody and some words while Fraser built the track and in a couple of hours we had a really great rough version of the song. Then Johnny and Nathan put some extraordinary guitars, keys and piano on it, not to mention incredible backing vocals and so many things which lifted the song massively. Another example of the three of us being locked-in together on this record, it felt like something truly special was happening in the studio.”

“blown away by the reaction it’s been getting from crowds hearing it for the first time.”“All” is already proving itself a firm fan favourite following its debut on Snow Patrol’s run of live dates this summer, with Gary Lightbody remarking he is

The Forest Is The Path is produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele/Dave/Stormzy) and the band. The Forest is the Path is an album rooted in reflection, introspection and interrogation. One of its key building blocks, says Gary, was the idea of love from the distance of time. “I haven’t been in a relationship for a very long time, 10 years or more, so love from a distance to me meant the way a relationship sits in your memory from a distance of, say, 10 years. That’s not something I’d previously thought about as away to write about love. So it’s like, when you’re in love, you’re standing in the lobby of the Empire State Building. When you’ve broken up with that person, you’re out in the street. You can still see the building, but you’re not in there anymore. And when it’s 10 years later, now you’re standing in Brooklyn looking at the Manhattan skyline.”

SNOW PATROL have announced their eagerly awaited return with a brand new album. Titled ‘The Forest Is The Path’, the album is the Northern Irish band’s first in six years, following 2018’s ‘Wildness’, and is set for release on September 13th via Polydor Records. It is produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele/Dave/Stormzy) and the band. Now comprising the trio of Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid, Snow Patrol offer the first taste of their extraordinary new album with first single ‘The Beginning’, as well as announcing details of a UK and Ireland Arena tour in 2025.

‘The Forest Is The Path’ was written by Gary Lightbody, Nathan Connolly and Johnny McDaid and features twelve tracks. Fraser T Smith, Will Reynolds, Roy Kerr and Troy Van Leeuwen (QOTSA) also contributed to the writing on some of the songs on the album. The album and single artwork features paintings by Gary Lightbody.

‘The Beginning’ is the cornerstone of the band’s eighth studio album, written on a trip to Somerset. Gary picks up the story, “The first day we wrote The Beginning, start to finish.” “And he did the vocal in one take,” says Johnny. “Straight after writing the lyrics. So it has this mind-collapsing quality to it where you feel like you’re seeing into someone’s soul.”

‘The Forest is the Path’ is an album rooted in reflection, introspection and interrogation.

It’s a theme addressed unblinkingly and unflinchingly on the ‘The Beginning’. “That’s kind of a summing up of this album,” Gary continues. “It’s a way of looking at various mistakes, any pain I may have caused, from a place where nothing is hurting anymore, except the memory when you pull it back into your mind. The memory itself is full of hurt but everything around it isn’t. You’re holding in your hand this ball of fire, but now you’ve got gloves on.”

"The twisted, quirky folk that's both innocent and defiant remains distinctive, as does singer Gordon Gano's perpetually strained, some might say fidgety, vocals...Strange, inexplicable and uncomfortable are descriptions the Femmes are likely proud of."
American Songwriter

Violent Femmes have announced today's release of their much-anticipated new album. HOTEL LAST RESORT is available now via [PIAS] at all music retailers and streaming services. Today's release is marked by the premiere of a playful but potent companion video accompanying the album's rambunctious new rendition of "I'm Nothing," streaming now following its exclusive premiere via Psychology Today.

WATCH "I'M NOTHING"
Originally recorded for 1994's NEW TIMES, this latest version of "I'm Nothing" sees a featured appearance from pro skateboarder Stefan Janoski. A lifelong Femmes fan, Janoski has also teamed with the band to create the Nike SB Zoom Janoski "Violent Femmes"- a one-of-a-kind exclusive shoe inspired by "I'm Nothing." Designed by Janoski, the Nike SB Zoom Janoski "Violent Femmes" will see the words "I'M NOTHING" screen-printed in the skateboarder's handwriting on the tongue of the shoe, while his exclusive artwork will be included on the custom sock liner. Chain stitched on the left shoe will be the word "VIOLENT" and on the right shoe, the word "FEMMES," with a vulc tape mirror appliqué in Tour Yellow. The Nike SB Zoom Janoski "Violent Femmes" releases in fall 2019 - complete details and exclusive images can be found HERE.

The band's 10th studio albumHOTEL LAST RESORT was first heralded earlier this spring with the release of the LP's plaintive title track, featuring the iconic guitar sound of Television co-founder Tom Verlaine. Rolling Stone hailed "Hotel Last Resort" as a "surreal new song" in its exclusive premiere, writing, ""Throughout the winding cut, Gano unfurls a series of intriguing lyrical vignettes (I don't change the chords anymore/The chords change themselvesI've become invisible because one is not divisible) over droning acoustic strums and Verlaine's textural lead lines."
Recorded at Denver, CO's Mighty Fine Productions with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Ted Hutt (The Gaslight Anthem, Old Crow Medicine Show) and GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer Ryan MallHOTEL LAST RESORT resides among Violent Femmes' finest hours, simultaneously refining and redefining their one-of-a-kind take on American music, mingling front porch folk, post punk, spiritual jazz, country blues, avant garde improvisation, and golden age rock 'n' roll. Founded and fronted of course by singer/guitarist Gordon Gano and acoustic bass guitarist Brian Ritchie, the Milwaukee-based combo remain as warm, wise, and weird as ever before, with such new favorites as "Another Chorus" and "Everlasting You" continuing to mine the vast range of ideas, melodic complexity, and organic sonic craftsmanship that has characterized the band's body of work since their landmark 1983 debut.
Always eager to push their music forward, Violent Femmes have spent the past three years joined by percussionist John Sparrow and multi-instrumentalist Blaise Garza, both longtime members of The Horns of Dilemma, the band's ever-evolving cabal of multi-instrumentalist backing musicians. Sparrow's novel use of a Weber Grill as a rhythm instrument along with the extreme tones of Garza's central instrument, the massive contrabass saxophone, bring a stunning depth to the Femmes' famous sound, imbuing songs like "Paris To Sleep" and "Adam Was A Man" with a striking richness and imaginative edge.
Indeed, HOTEL LAST RESORT has already begun accruing critical acclaim, with Louder Than War hailing it as "Violent Femmes' finest work since 1984's HALLOWED GROUND. It has the tropes of a classic Femmes' albums; the Americana of post punk, folk, blues, jazz, spiritual, gospel, classic rock 'n' roll with left field lyrics and avant-garde structures that never detract from a bloody good tune... Gordon Gano remains as literate and quirky as ever and Brian Ritchie still has his classic bass sound, that's like metal producing a raw beauty that twangs and grinds as though every note is wrought with heart and power (he's one of the greatest bass players ever in my book)." Soundblab agreed, declaring the LP to be "one of the most rewarding Femmes albums in years. Speaking of years, it's been nearly 40 since their folk punk debut but with HOTEL LAST RESORT, they've never sounded more vital. Viva la Violent Femmes."
Violent Femmes will celebrate HOTEL LAST RESORT with a typically wide-ranging live schedule that includes headline dates, festival sets (including Port Townsend, WA's THING on August 25 and Chicago, IL's Riot Fest on September 13-15), and a co-headline tour with Ben Folds set to get underway this Sunday, July 28, at Uncasville, CT's Mohegan Sun Arena. Special VIP tickets are also available for the latter tour, including Reserve Seating, early venue access, a signed tour poster, tote bag, and more. Additional dates - including a North American headline tour - will be announced soon. For complete details and ticket availability, please see  www.vfemmes.com/tour.

Both the tour and upcoming album title are inspired by the lore surrounding the great horned owl, which can see perfectly at night, making it a reliable guide, even during dark times. The Owlwill explore a deeper side of Zac Brown Band as they pull from this inspiration to create their most personal album to date.

The Owl will not only feature the intricate melodies and dynamic vocal arrangements that Zac Brown Band has long been known for, but also explore new sounds through unexpected collaborations with producers and writers across different facets of the music world including Skrillex, Andrew Watt, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, Max Martin, Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder among others. Zac Brown Band’s experimentation with sound can be heard throughout the band’s career discography and helped them develop a reputation as one of the most dynamic musical acts, marked by strong musicianship and a creative range that defies genre boundaries.

“We’ve been working tirelessly on this album over the past couple years, ensuring every detail is perfect,” said Zac Brown. “We are always pushing ourselves as musicians by blurring genre boundaries and incorporating all kinds of music we are personally inspired by, elevating what we are capable as a group. This album will have something for everyone, The Owl is exciting, raw, and unexpected. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished on this record and can’t wait to finally share it with the fans.”

The Owl follows Zac Brown Band’s 2017 studio album, Welcome Home, which won the British Country Music Association Award for International Album of the Year. Prior to the release of Welcome Home, Zac Brown Band released four studio albums beginning with their debut major label studio album, certified 5x platinum, The Foundation, in 2008 featuring their hit debut single, “Chicken Fried.” Since then, the band’s studio album releases included You Get What You Give, in 2010; Uncaged, in 2012; and JEKYLL + HYDE, in 2015. Additionally, Zac Brown Band have released two live albums (Live From Bonnaroo, 2009;Pass The Jar, 2010), a greatest hits compilation (Greatest Hits So Far, 2014), and an extended play produced by Dave Grohl (The Grohl Sessions, Vol. 1., 2013).

A three-time Grammy Award-winning band, Zac Brown Band have sold more than 30 million singles, 9 million albums, have achieved 15 No. 1 radio singles and are the second act in history to have topped both Country Airplay and Mainstream Rock Songs charts. They took the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart during their 2015 collaboration with the late Chris Cornell on “Heavy is the Head.”
