Confirmed performers include Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown & John Legend, Luke Bryan, Brandi Carlile, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Sheryl Crow, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Old Dominion, Brad Paisley & Darius Rucker, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban. ACM® PRESENTS: OUR COUNTRY will also honor 10-time ACM Award® winner Kenny Rogers with performances by Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker. As previously announced, artists will appear from their homes to share heartfelt thoughts and perform acoustic versions of Country hits. Additionally, video clips from previous ACM Award broadcasts will highlight favorite ACM moments from the past. It will be a night filled with entertainment, hope and reflection, bringing the healing power of music to Americans at a time when they need it most.

The special will broadcast during the time slot previously scheduled for the 55^th Academy of Country Music Awards, which will now be broadcast Wednesday, Sept. 16 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming live and on demand on CBS All Access. The 55^th ACM Awards, hosted for the first time by reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and 15-time ACM Award winner Keith Urban, honors the biggest names and emerging talent in the Country Music industry.

Sights and Sounds: Radiohead vs. Lana Del Rey; 60th Annual Grammy Awards; Ireland's The Coronas returning to North America

On Sunday, Jan. 7, Lana Del Rey confirmed that Radiohead was considering suing her over her song "Get Free," which has a decidedly similar sound and feel to Radiohead's breakout hit "Creep" (released in 1993). The story is still unfolding, but there are several links I recommend to get a good overview of the legal and musical details surrounding this still-unfolding story.

Music's Biggest Night^® just got bigger as the Recording Academy™ announces additional acts to perform on this year's 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Just added to the lineup are current GRAMMY nominees Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee; current GRAMMY nominee Kesha; GRAMMY winner and current nominee Bruno Mars with current nominee Cardi B; current nominee SZA; and first-time GRAMMY nominees Alessia Cara, Khalid, and Logic, who will take the stage with a group of suicide attempt and loss survivors selected by the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in a special performance delivering an important message.

MULTI-PLATINUM IRISH BAND THE CORONAS RELEASE NEW SINGLE FROM #1 IRISH CHART ALBUM "TRUST THE WIRE" AHEAD OF FEBRUARY NORTH AMERICAN TOUR "We Couldn't Fake It" Single Serviced to Radio This Week Tour Begins February 8, 2018 in Montreal

One of Ireland's most popular exports, The Coronas, will return to North America for a run of shows beginning February 8 in Montreal. The multi-platinum-selling Irish band, whose North American shows in November were largely sold out, are on the road in support of their fifth album, TRUST THE WIRE, which became The Coronas' first-ever #1 album when it topped the Irish music charts in its first week of release in June. The lead-off track, "We Couldn't Fake It," is being serviced to radio this week as the second U.S. single from the album, bolstered by an imaginative video that finds The Coronas' front man Danny O'Reilly submerged in a bathtub. The video already has over 300,000 views on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycTl3vVTtzE In 2017, The Coronas completed shows in Europe, the UK, Australia and Dubai in addition to their November North American tour, all in support of TRUST THE WIRE.  "Real Feel," the first U.S. single from the album enjoyed AAA and Alternative radio airplay throughout the country during the fall tour. The band has already announced plans for two large summer shows in Ireland: July 13 as part of the annual Live at the Marquee music festival in Cork and July 21 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland's largest indoor concert venue. They will also do some new recording early in the year.  TRUST THE WIRE, the band's first release on their own label imprint called So Far So Good Records, is distributed in the U.S. and Canada through ADA Distribution. The Sunday Times in Ireland wrote about the album: "they've brought their towering tunes into the present and staked their claim to be a cleverer Coldplay," while Goldmine Magazine called TRUST THE WIRE"a riveting work, thinking man's rock, with a solid sound to sustain it." The Coronas have previously released four studio albums: HEROES OR GHOSTS (2007), TONY WAS AN EX-CON (2009), CLOSER TO YOU (2011) and THE LONG WAY (2014), the first three via the independent Irish label 3ú Records and the fourth one on Island Records. All four are double-platinum albums in Ireland.

Already a 21-time GRAMMY winner, JAY-Z leads with eight nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar (7), Bruno Mars (6), Childish Gambino (5), Khalid (5), No I.D. (5), and SZA (5). Selected from more than 22,000 submissions across 84 categories, the nominations showcase some of the most gifted music makers of the past awards year (Oct. 1, 2016–Sept. 30, 2017). As the only peer-selected music award, the GRAMMY is voted on by the Recording Academy's membership body of music makers, who represent all genres and creative disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and engineers.
