Los Angeles, CA  September 15, 2017 – The country music community will celebrate the late Glen Campbell on the 11th Annual ACM Honors tonight at 9 pm ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. The star-studded salute will include a performance by Maren Morris of one of Campbell’s signature songs, “Galveston,” and a reprise of last’s year superstar tribute featuring Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban performing some of the Rhinestone Cowboy’s most beloved classics. Hosted by the Academy of Country Music, the evening dedicated to celebrating special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 52nd Academy Of Country Music Awards was taped August 23 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

The Academy awarded Campbell the Career Achievement Award at last year’s ACM Honors, a prestigious honor given to artists who have advanced the popularity of country music through their endeavors in the entertainment industry in multiple areas. Following a presentation of the award to his wife Kim Campbell who accepted on Campbell’s behalf, four of music’s biggest stars – Keith, Bentley, Shelton and Urban, – were joined by Campbell’s son Shannon Campbell on guitar and daughter Ashley Campbell on banjo, for an all-star medley of several of Campbell’s biggest hits, “Southern Nights,” “Gentle On My Mind,” “Wichita Linemen,” “By The Time I Get To Phoenix” and the iconic “Rhinestone Cowboy.”

Campbell, who passed away on August 8 following a courageous years-long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, received 11 ACM Awards throughout his career, including the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award and multiple trophies for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and TV Personality of the Year.

Campbell’s farewell album, Adiós, was released on June 9, 2017 via UMe to universal acclaim. In the U.S., the album debuted in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 giving Campbell his 16th Top 40 album and his 19th Top 10 Country Record of his astonishing career. The album, which capped off an extraordinary career that spanned more than six decades and 50 million albums sold, has been hailed as one of his best. It has received an incredible reaction around the world from the likes of Rolling StoneUSA TodayNPRBillboard and many others.

People Magazine is celebrating Campbell’s unprecedented life and legacy with a 96-page photo-packed commemorative edition titled “Glen Campbell: A Life In Song,” which is out now.
