Inbox Update: Faster Horses Festival, Johnny Marr, Morrissey and more!

Happy Presidents' Day everybody. Here is a brief overview on what's happening...

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan will headline at the first-ever Faster Horses Festival, a three-day music festival coming to Brooklyn, Michigan, July 19-21. Sounds kind of like the Stagecoach Festival that has been so successful in Indio, CA. You can read more details here.

Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr has a fantastic solo album (The Messenger) coming out on Feb. 26. You can stream it now on Rolling Stone via this link.

Speaking of The Smiths, Morrissey has cancelled a string of concert dates this month. Billboard has an update on the famed singer. Lets hope the former Smiths frontman gets well soon.

Music history is filled with examples where artists bust out of the gate with what ultimately proves to be their best album (The Stone Roses, Boston, The Cars, The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Outfield immediately come to mind). But what about bands whose sophomore proved to be their peak? Check out this article titled "20 Artists Whose Second Album Was Their Best." I don't necessarily agree with all of the author's picks (The Shins, for example), but it's compelling stuff...
